What a Body Is |
|
This is a typography assignment in which we were to take words from a text provided to us to express the idea behind the words. I was particularly struck by the line, "All things have a body; even words," and used it like a banner to fly high in the image. I went with the concept of words being powerful: that words can create and build. I focused on words like, "dizzying", "accident", "real", and "body" to form basically a crowd of people around a temple to show the complexity and depth of our own perceptions. The colors are mainly blue and purple for a sort of subconscious, dream-like mood. Beyond these material forms, though, there is clarity. The words are clear and in high contrast against the black sky, like guiding stars. |
